RN02 MME X308 Sport 2002
I had a little bother with door locking issues early in the year some of you may recall, following the advice given I eventually traced the fault to the offside passenger door, but unable to effect a proper repair and replacement at the time I disconnected all wiring to the door so I now have to open, close and lock it manually, a nuisance but not a big problem also of course the window does not operate. Time to fix it, do I need to replace the whole lock assembly or just the micro switch and actuator? Might anyone recommend a source for the necessary items?

Re: Rear door locking (electrics)
yelnats,
if it's an electrical issue on the rear door, I would guess it's more likely to be either chafed wires entering the door frame or alternately the actuator switch rather than the physical lock mechanism. I can't remember if the micro-switches are handed but I'd be tempted to swap one from one of the other doors to verify the problem before going out and buying any new parts. You really want to pin down the problem before opening your wallet.
Good luck
Paul
