Expansion tank to radiator line/hose

Postby jaguar4321 » Sun Apr 08, 2012 3:48 pm

Hi, just noticed my expansion tank to radiator line/hose is leaking in two places, its leaking in the middle, the last owner taped over the leak and alos at the point it plugs into the expansion tank, couple of questions: can they be replaced with second hand items? the plug into the tank looks like a drama to remove without damaging, guess fitting is easier?
Any ideas were i can get one for a sensible price?

This is not a major concern but I have found that these bleed hoses become excessively brittle with age (and possibly heat). I have recently changed the hose. I have ordered the item from Barrats. Very good service as usual, but the genuine Jaguar spare is priced at 26,37 € amouting to 44,06 € including shipping and VAT, or £39. I presume that changing the three plastic hoses should cost about £150, not a fortune I admitt, but expensive for little bits of plastic.
