yup

came back from Jaguar tonight with the news my ECM isnt working correctly

no output on EM85 pins 1&2 on the ECM

throwing codes
P0135
P0155
P1646
P1647

its not switching the output to the two upstream O2 sensors , and as a result the car is over fueling , and therefore failed the emissions test

anyone know of a good ( and cheap as possible ) ECM repairer ?

I may be well off beam BB, but would http://www.autologic-diagnos.co.uk/products/jaguar.htm deal with that sort of thing?
Good luck anyway!

BB,

Don't know if they'll be able to help you, but I've used these guys twice in the last 10 years:

http://www.carelect.demon.co.uk 01983 281811

It was a guy called Rob who set the company up, don't know if he's still running it.

I found them when I had a prob with my Range Rover seat ecu many years ago. Even Range Rover independents wanted £400+ for a new ecu. Rob told me to send my ecu to him with a cheque for £50. 36 hours later, I had it back fixed. Great service and cheap.

Most ecu probs usually revolve around corrosion if exposed to damp, or dry joints if mounted inside the car. If this is your prob, then these guys might be able to help. Don't know if they specifically know much about Jags but got to be worth a call?

Good luck

Paul

BB,

Just my two pence worth: codes P0135 and 0155 are ideed for upstream O2 sensor heaters, banks A and B failure, however I would be surprised if both ECU output stages have suddenly popped. Have you checked that the O2 Heater relay is actaully providing a decent +12V power to the common pin E85-03?
