Swarf Found In Oil Sump Pan

Hope everyone is surviving these unusual times that we find ourselves in at the moment and that your all staying safe.
I gave my XJ8 a little service last week and I thought this year I will drop the sump pan during the oil change.
Mainly to clean the oil pick up pipe which has a mesh type screen in it to stop any debris returning up into the engine.
This is what I found,very unusual I think.

Remains of some instant gasket

Two pieces of swarf and a few bits of what I think is instant gasket(soft like rubber).
So I'm guessing someone has had to do some work on the engine in the past but not sure what but at least I know the screen has done it's job in not allowing it back up into the engine.I suppose it will remain a mystery but at least it's all out now.
While I had the sump pan off I thought it looked a bit grubby so I rubbed it down and repainted it.

Turned out quite good I think.
I had removed the small engine cover under the car to gain access to the anti-roll bar bushings and it was only then that I noticed there was no brake cooling duct on the passenger side.
Found the two parts that were missing on eBay and all fitted perfectly so was very pleased and only cost about £30.00.
