jagbreakers.org anybody have problems with them?

Postby bmc123 » Thu Jun 24, 2010 12:19 pm

Last Wednesday afternoon I ordered a middle exhaust section for my car from jagbreakers.org over the phone. I was informed that it would be delivered for Friday.

No exhaust was delivered; I phoned and was told that they would get back to me. I also emailed them Friday evening and have had no reply to either.

On Tuesday I rang to enquire again and was informed it would “be with you in the morning” as it was being sent by DHL. Later on Tuesday evening I phoned again to request the tracking number to be told that it had not been lifted yet so he had no tracking number to give me.

Wednesday morning and still no sign of the exhaust. Phoned in the afternoon to ask for tracking number, was told it had been sent ok, but they would phone me back with the tracking number – I requested they text me to my mobile instead as I was going out, and no call or text has been received.

I also then contacted DHL to ask if they could at least tell me if a parcel had been picked up from them on Tuesday, and although they said they really would need a tracking number the operator said that as far as he can see no package had been lifted.

I then tried to phone them this morning and cannot get an answer.

This is pretty poor service, especially more annoying as I am waiting on the part to get my car going after getting a new engine fitted! I am currently trying to find another part at the moment and have sent them an email asking for a refund but may have to get my debit card company to help (Thankfully the new visa debit cards have purchase protection on them now) although that is a long process

How much is the supposed middle section going to cost versus a new part?
sometimes the local exhaust companies can can come up with a better price
if you get no satisfaction try Eurojag.

Not sure about new, joes jags wanted £170 delivered, eurojag had none, nor did quite a few of the other places I checked. Andy in autoreserve jaguar found one and is getting it ready for pick up this afternoon, so that should be with my mechanic on Monday.

I have since read on another Jag forum (don't know if you can mention them here so I won't 8) ) that at least one other person got the exact same treatment as I did.

I can understand if maybe it was a one off as nobody is perfect and mistakes can be made, but in this case it seems I am not the only person who has been treated like this and I will never use them again, and would not recommend them.
