Engine bay paint code/colour

Can I test the collective brains that is JEC.
I have had the inevitable welding done on the Shock mounts on the inner wings under bonnet, and the front arches.
This had destroyed the E11 sticker ! (found similar one on Ebay) But the main thing is finding the paint code or name for the Green in the engine bay.
The car is Emerald Green on a Daimler Super V8. under the bonnet is a flat base green colour.

Any help will be appreciated as always!!

Hi Paul, the trim and paint codes are usually found on a label in the passenger door opening. The colour under the bonnet is the same colour of your car, Emerald Green, but without the clearcoat lacquer on top, which gives it the shine you see on the main surfaces.

It's odd there are no colour flips in the matt green under the bonnet, the topcoat almost looks blue in certain lights with some purple in there as well.

Paul,

Since Jaguar started using clear over base some 30-40 years ago, they didn't bother lacquering under bonnet areas or sometimes inside the boot shuts etc.

The lacquer can cause very different colour perceptions. However, with a LOT of effort you can cut back and polish the unlacquered areas to enhance the look of the car. It won't be exactly the same as a lacquered finish but will look a lot better. The difficulty in the engine bay is the amount of stuff bolted to the inner wings which restricts access.

I kept much of the under-bonnet paintwork polished on my x308 and also my x350. The pic below shows the results of a lot of hours on the inner wings of my x350 with 155,000 miles on it.

Time for you to get the T-cut out!

I think my paint is the same as yours,in some places it looks blue,other times it looks green.
The paint code and trim code which is on a sticker on the top cross member on the left in front of the radiator under the bonnet looking forward from the drivers seat.I can see that sticker in your first photo at the front of the engine bay.
The paint code on mine is HGG and I have found out that they used a blue pearl underlay which is why it appears to change colour sometimes in different lights.The trim code is NED which is Ivory.

I have found it very difficult to do little touch ups around the car due to this paint colour,very frustrating I can tell you .

Thanks everyone, As usual valuable comments and all correct !!
It is the HGG and I got my paint chap to get a couple aerosol cans made up.
It looks a lot shinier but luckily these two spots on the inner wings are really the only clearly visible bits of colour under there.

TOP TIP !
originally the inner wings had some sort of trim seal over the panel joints I assume !
after welding was complete and I ground back the weld smooth, I wanted to replicate these seals. I used double sided foam tape (approx 2 ml thick/high), after sealing the bare metal with rust sealant, I painted the panels with Etch primer, and stuck the tape over the joints, then sprayed with numerous top coats, the effect was quite good for an amateur.
