308 Auto J gate illuminated in green?

New to Jaguar XJ8 ownership, I have a V8 sovereign model 2000. When the headlights are on the transmission indicates the selected gear with a red halo . Should the J gate have a background light in green? Thanks

Actually it should have a light blueish back light to it.
