Hi, hope you don't mind a neighbour 4 houses down the street, popping in for a chat
I didn't manage any of the JEC Northern or Southern Shows, unfortunately they clashed with my own Clyde Regions Events in Scotland. Not sure what your findings have been this year but up in Scotland we are finding all the Shows are suffering in both Exhibitor and Spectator numbers, been to 9 Shows so far this year and only one has bucked the downturn trend. Between an exceptionally wet May & June and possibly the effects of the recession, it seems, at least up here, its hitting the Car Show numbers.

Anyone going to Dalemain on 21st August, might see you there.

last year, the southern day event was cancelled due to the venue going bump,
this event was free entry to all JEC members

If you were dreaming, then I think you may have had a very long sleep as it was the 2009 event that was cancelled not the 2010 event! Last year's event was also at Beaulieu and was a really good day out.

Of course, one might still argue that the club still owes us one free Southern Day....

Ive Just arrived back in Leeds from a weekend in Aberdeen for the Drum Castle Event........Grampian Region always put a great show on including a ceili night too,but numbers were down this year too.......their charity suffered rhe worst but a goodly sum was still managed.....
