New Arrival - 2nd Jaguar - 1st XJ308

Hello all,
Some 2 1/2 years ago, by chance, I read an extremely complimentary article on the XJ40. After a little more research, I purchased an immaculate low mileage 4ltr 1994 Sovereign, with full sevice history for what most of us would consider very little money for such a car. I can't praise the car highly enough. It's reliability and performance has been exceptional and it still looks as good as the day I bought it.
2 weeks ago I moved on to another immaculate Jaguar, again with low mileage and full main agent service history. This time it'a a 1999 XJR in silver with an ivory (I think) interior. Things don't get much better! The car is superb and virtually faultless. To say I'm impressed would be a massive understatement.
Fortunately, I have a very understanding wife who happily agreed to put her new kitchen on hold to allow me to purchase the XJR ( I exaggerate somewhat!). My only problem is when she found out how much the XJ40 was worth she told me in no uncertain terms I was not to sell it, that she would not have me 'giving the car away', so I now have to put up with owning two fantastic, but very different Jagaurs.
Regards
Gerry
