New member in West Yorkshire

Hi all and Happy New Year,

Just wanted to quickly introduce myself, I'm James based in Holmfirth, West Yorks. I've had my 2001 XJR for around 18 months and really enjoying it, it's in nice condition but the plan is to refurbish as I go and then dive in and have more major work done such as a full strip down and repaint.
Looking forward to meeting some of you at shows and hopefully gain some useful hints and tips to help me as I go.

Hi James and welcome to the X308 forum.
Glad your enjoying your XJR,they really are a superb car.
You'll find a lot of information regarding most of the problems we come across in the sub-section's of the X308 forum.
Or if you come across a specific problem just ask away.
If you have time post a couple of photo's of your car so we can all enjoy it.

Hi Andy,

I try to look after it, one reason I joined here was to improve my knowledge. Overall it's a nice clean car but some bits of rust in the drivers door and a couple of bits of surface rust on the front outer sill I have initially treated have kept me busy. Runs well and makes me smile alot.
The car it's self is not a special model or sentimental but many years of saving bits of spare cash make it special to me so I am a little overly attached lol.
