New to the Jaguar experience, but can tell you in the short time I've owned my XJ8 it has impressed me beyond belief.......sheer luxury.
Went to Jaguars at the Castle event at Warwick Castle, had a great time and looking forward to more great times and meeting more of you from the Devon area.

And welcome to you too! I've had three XJ8 and have enjoyed my Sport, current daily Exec, and LWB 4L with all the toys that people kept on offering money for

I've now got the Exec up for sale so will have been with XJ8 over two years. Two years good motoring at a real bargain basement price -- do change your coolant temperature sensor if you've not already done so. The MPG difference is really noticeable -- I get over 32MPG mixed mode light foot now. And got that with the Sport too after change.

A bit far from Devon but welcome from the Orkney Isles,

There will be lots of help and advice available here to help keep your new cat purring along - as you say they provide a wonderful way to travel and now they are getting on in years, for not much money either. I’m on my second XJ8, albeit a Daimler, after a long time with an XJ-S and wish I had changed earlier.
We all like pictures here and stories too - you might consider sending something to our Editor Nigel with a bit of info of how you became involved and he might include it in a future magazine. X308 models are a bit short on coverage these days.

Thank you everyone, yes I love the experience of driving my X308.
Just had her in to my local jaguar specialist, and had the gearbox oil and filter changed, tensioners done and a good checkover. The report back was good and seems like I have a good one.

Reducing the resolution should help. I edit mine down anyway in a program that came with my digital camera some years ago to "top 'n tail" them and cut out any unneeded scene garbage from the sides.

I don't know what operating system you're using. But often there's a facility to email a pic if you right click on the pic with your mouse -- that reduces resolution down so that the file size is less than 1MB. Save that reduced image with the same filename crop.jpg. If memory serves believe the max file size for attachments here is 2MB
