hi, join the jec some 5 years ago having purchased a 1998 xjr. fantastic car. i've joined the forum to say a big thankyou for richard phillips article in septembers magazine about the throttle body recall. i visited my local grange jaguar dealership (swindon) who soon had my car purring again.
this saving has more than paid for my membership this year and many more to come. i'am looking to change my car soon ( xjr x350 ) hope a forum will be available.

Larry, did the main dealer do the work via your vin number?
I suppose they can soon check if your valid or not ?
My car is 1999 mod and i had wondered if there is a check you can make.

hi joe, I simply took in my service book showing the vin no, the service dept looked it upped on the computer, and confirm by a print out it was due two recalls 1/ throttle body 2/possible power steering pump/belt touching pipe work/cables, this was checked at the same time. it just required a small adjustment. all the work was carried out free of charge. plus they washed and hoovered the car.
