I appear to have a problem in that I don't get notified when someone replies to a thread I have myself posted in.

My preferences on my profile are set correctly

The notifications are not going to my Spam folder

I have not selected "stop watching this topic".

I have had this problem for as long as I can remember but have not taken the time until now to check all of the above to rule them out.

Any ideas?

Nigel

Try clicking on the link "watch this topic for replies" .......lower left outside the window.

As I said, I have checked such things. I see "stop watching this topic" bottom left, but don't get the notifications. Please advise.

"webman" is the place to go with this now. I have e-mailed him with your problem and await a response.

I look forward to hearing from Webman. It's frustrating as I have to remember which threads I have contributed to and do a manual scan to check for replies. I do remember this working in the past and can't figure out what's changed.

Thanks in anticipation,

Nigel

Now that I’ve had time to engage my ‘Northern Filter’ and take off my ‘Techie anorak’, I feel I can reply.

Yes, you are correct the ‘Topic Reply Notification’ used to work, but some months ago our ISP made some changes, which prevented it from working.

I made a couple of changes to the software and it seemed OK.

I say ‘seemed’, because when I tested it, it worked for me.

Therein lies a problem, some functions work for me because I have ‘special privileges’ and when it comes to e-mail issues, I can only test on-line, not on my development server.

I am reasonably confident that it should now work for everyone. Perhaps you can let me know.

I have a ‘watch’ on this Topic, so we’ll see.

Webman,

It works! Life simplified, faith in humanity restored, etc.

Excellent work, sir.

Bl**dy ISPs....
