Is that not in the driver's handbook?

Looking at this logically, it's at the minimum so not in any immediate danger. Add 1/2 litre and check again when cold after a run, with the vehicle on a level surface. Repeat but do not add more then Max, a little below is safer.
The danger of asking such a question on 'tinternet is if some well meaning soul says 'add 5 Litres', you can bet someone out there will do

Used to fret about such things until started driving cars that didn't consume engine oil
Then about twice a year it became: "how come my oil level's not decreasing <something's wrong, pulse races, sweat, etc>
Eventually gave up worrying, nowadays just top up to half way between Min and Max. There's so much of a discount on buying 5L as against 1L cans that it's worth carrying. It all goes into the oil change every 10k miles anyway

I agree, at least some cars still have a dipstick. Some makes seem to have done away with them altogether.
The worst engine I have is my lawnmower, the dipstick has to go round a bend so always picks up oil on the way out. It often gets accidentally overfilled. Clouds of thick blue smoke for a while after.
