Hydraulic fluid on fabric

My last post was about the burst top latch hydraulic pipe on my XK8 convertible hood. Anyone have any advice on how to clean the fabric covered trims above the windsceen and down the sides which are saturated with the hydraulic fluid? Paint thinner will lift the fluid and remove staining but will it also dissolve the fabric backing which is some sort of man-made fibre?

Whit sprit or meths or denatured alcohol should not dissolve man made fibres as they are supplied in plastic bottles. However if the material is like impregnated canvas then 'bitumen' type material will be affected.
