Tenax fastener

Good morning

Does anyone know where to get a replacement Tenax female clip from? One of mine has broken and it's on the tonneau cover of my 1997 XK8 convertible. I've found plenty from boat suppliers but the dimensions vary so much and I've not found one with a D ring on. If I could find a plain one that fits, I could fit the D ring myself if all else fails.

Although the car is 23 year's old, it's had so little use 31.5K, and the tonneau even less!

Thanks in advance

I've had similar problems in the past and the solution came from one of the regular trim advertisers in the magazine. Apologies, I can't recall which one for sure but it may have been Woolies. Mike.

Typing Tenax Fastener into Google produces multiple hits, including a company called Holden, who seem to specialise in stuff like this. See link below:

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried both those sites and others, but cannot see any with the D ring. I'll scan the club mag and see what's there. I could drill and fit the D ring if I can find the correct female part, there are a lot of them with varying dimensions.

It looks like this part is still available from Jaguar - cost £16.16 each. There is a note to say that the part is now supplied as black chrome so you may need to replace both sides.

Hope that helps

Thanks for the link, but being black it's not original and I prefer to keep it that way. Weight for weight it might be cheaper to get them gold plated than buy from Jaguar!
