My daughter has just had a little girl ,now my question is .can a newborn car seat(top of the Pram ) be used in the back so called seat of my 2000 xkr ? Any help would be great ......thanks

there was an ISO-fix kit for the car back in the day , otherwise follow all safety instructions on the child seat for installing in a car ,

if the car is licensed for passengers in the ' so called ' back seat then you shouldn't have any problems, other than a snug fit on the seat contours

Bit late posting this but might help someone.
The legislation is such now that seats have to be specific for size and weight and as a guide upto 15 months old have to have rear facing seats, i.e. opposite to direction of travel.
0kg to 10kg involves having a layflat or rear facing baby car when at the lower end of the weight scale I guess, upto a rear facing one at 10kg and under 15 months... anyway, all in here

I can tell you a rear facing group "0" seat does NOT fit in an XK8 !! I treat them, rear seats, as a parcel shelf

I ended up having to put my granddaughter, in her rear facing seat, into my Honda Coupes ( 3l V6 auto, so pretty similar ) rear seats which despite being the same size as the Jag XK8 has half as much boot space again AND bigger back seats so that even adults can use them !!
