Glad your steering wheel turned out ok John  ,

For other members information , the Gliptone product comes with tints and gloss enhancer to correct any minor differences in shade and or sheen,

Nik,
Hope you dont mind advising of the correct colour of Leather for my XKR? VIN is SAJC41J9YPA02590. I had a kit manufactured, where the company used a colour match device, however the dye when applied is more of a black rather than the original coulour which has a brown tinge to it. Thanks for your assistance,

Regards
Steve H

Much appreciated, Warm Charcoal fits the bill better than Black, do you know if the Gliptone range covers this? As I said earlier, the colour I recived was actually too black when compared with the original seat colour.
Thanks again

As far as I'm aware the Gliptone range covers all the Jaguar colours , warm charcoal being common place , they are normally an excellent match but in case of slight variations they have a couple of tinters and a gloss enhancer in the kit ,

Hi Smoggy ,
I've tried both O and 0 and the VIN decoder states there is an error within the VIN number , could you spare the time to have another go and compare your VIN in the windscreen with the VIN on your registration document ? ,

Regards ,

It's a bit of a day for reviving old threads but that's the joy of being a newbie I guess looking back at previous posts. Anyway I saw this one and thought I'd post a pic of the refurbished steering wheel on my S- Type. I did this a couple of month's ago and it was fairly easy to do with a little patience and the assistance of a hair dryer. I only wish I had taken a before pic as the leather on the wheel was really badly worn and tatty, but i'm pretty happy with the result.
