I am not sure where best to post this question.
I am sure some inventive members of this forum have replaced the obsolete Satnav in their late model X100's with something more useful.
I noticed that my old Samsung Galaxy phone was near enough exactly the right size for the aperture.
Ideally I would like to have something that can act as a satnav plus have Apple Carplay and DAB+ radio.
Does anyone have any ideas how best to achieve that? Ideally I want to keep the original radio head unit set up and make these changes via the Satnav unit.
Thanks for reading!

Re: Out of date Satnav
Hi Andrew, the update for the Satnav in the X-100 model was the subject of an in-depth feature in the September 2020 JE magazine as part of the Modern XK Section. It requires a suitable Garmin system and if you select the correct version, it is fully updateable via WIFI, and it can also have additional features such as reversing camera, etc.
The back issues of the magazine can be found here on the website, but if you have issues, then send me a PM for your email address and I can forward you a set of instructions by email.

Re: Out of date Satnav
andrew.graham97934,
There's lots of ways that you can install a typical Android-based unit giving you Audio, Satnav, Apple Carplay, Android Auto etc. These range from (relatively) very cheap Chinese units up to some of the premier audio units from the likes of Pioneer etc. I recently fitted a cheap £75 unit in a friend's VW Golf and it worked fine. See here for a typical installation in an X100 from an aftermarket installer:

Good luck
