Water Leaking into XK8

Has anyone experienced water leaking around the drivers door.
The black cloth like strip which joins the metal kick strip is getting wet from a point
just level with the fuse box lid. (No water in the fuse box)
Water trickles down the inner edge of the black strip and makes the carpet wet where
the black strip meets the metal kick strip. I have also noticed water on the outer edge of this black strip. The passenger side is perfectly dry. Could it be the door seals? The car also had a new windscreen fitted shortly before I bought it, another possible source?
Any suggestions much appreciated.

JUST READ YOUR POSTING, I HAD THE SAME TO THE EXTENT IT WAS SOAKING THE CARPET, THE WATER WAS RUNNING OFF THE ROOF DOWN THE 'A' POST GUTTER & ONTO THE RUBBER WHICH FORMS A GUTTER AND SHOULD DRAIN THE WATER AWAY TOWARDS FRONT WING (WHERE THE WING JOINS THE BODY). CHECK THE RUBBER MAKE SURE IT'S IN THE RIGHT POSITION WHEN THE DOOR SHUTS ON IT, YOU WILL SEE THE RUBBERS HELD AT THE END WITH A PLASTIC POPPER. HOPE THIS HELPS.
