Throttle Pedal?

Just a quick question (newish to the X150). Just trying to work out what the travel distance for the throttle pedal should be. I think mine is a little short. And any advice on where to and what is the best technical source please.

The throttle pedal is just an electronic switch with no adjustment for its travel. The pedal travel isn't linear, i.e. half throttle travel doesn't produce half the effect of full throttle. It produces a greater effect. That way the car can be made to feel livelier at smaller throttle openings. During the XK's production run, Jaguar altered this relationship (reducing the rate at which the pedal signalled initially for power), possibly because the steadily increasing power of the V8 engines was making it more difficult for mere mortals to drive smoothly and avoid wheel spin etc. Full Jaguar or Autologic diagnostics can check if the relationship between the throttle and the rest of the fuelling system is correct so, if you have doubts, a diagnostics session might be the way forward. Many thanks Mike - I was only just curious around height of peddle as conscious, buried it in the carpet, but all seems to be well and working.
