Have just had my xkr serviced at ha fox York they found a slight crack on offside front wheel on inside, doesn't lose any air would you recommend a repair or a new wheel. The wheel is a 20" senta alloy, also where to get one from.
Re: cracked alloy wheel
I`ve had one cracked wheel welded up on an S-type but have to say the rim began to loose air again some months later. It really wasn`t a successful repair and I don`t think I`d bother again if presented with a similar problem. I`d replace the rim and have done with it.
Eurojag are one of the JEC`s favorite Jaguar breakers. You might give them a call and see if they might have a good replacement in stock. Also try Andy at Auto Reserve.
Ebay is also another place to search and there are also other internet sources you could peruse. Just type in strong key words and see what comes up. You might be rather suprised at what can be found.

Re: cracked alloy wheel
If you'd like Pirellis, an online search for whoever has the cheapest at any one time is the way to go. Asda often does well in such searches. The thing to look out for is availability. There are so many permutations of tyre sizes these days that not all are kept permanently in stock and you may have to wait until a new batch has been manufactured. Mike.
