Headlight Bling

Postby ng4xjs » Fri May 24, 2024 9:24 am

When I purchased my X150, nearly a year ago it came with both rear and front headlight embellishers along with "enhancements" to the door mirrors, fog lights and door pulls. Whilst the previous owner though these to be a "great improvement" in style I don't share his view. To the extent I want them gone, but just a tad nervous as to the best/cleanest way to remove.

If anyone has a no-damage solution for removal, or maybe would just love to own these outrageous "add-ons" (FOC) please do let me know.

A photo would be good to see what you are up against.
If they are the type that stick on,I have in the past removed such items using a hairdryer to soften the glue which allows you to remove them with less force.
Then remove the remainder of the glue with a light solvent.
Hope that helps.

The purveyors of these extras seem to be Brookland Motor Factors. Perhaps a non-committal line of enquiry via their website might lure them into giving you the answers you seek? :?

Hi Both - This is what I'm talking about around front treatment. I'm thinking hairdryer is the way to go?

Many thanks
