fitting a cd player to a 1999 XK8

When I got my car the first thing I decided to do was fit a cd multichanger in the boot, I am very hands on and most things don't worry me, however when I removed the side carpet in the boot, the only plug I could find was on the left of the fitting bay and seem to be to big for the cd player plug, the cd player is a jaguar original. Part number LNC4160AA am I looking in the wrong place, or am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.

The CD multi changer lives on the righthand side of the boot (O/S) , think you may need the premium amp as well ,

most of the early cars had the additional wiring in place for an upgrade but I think that for the 99MY Jaguar omitted some wiring looms (cost cutting no doubt ) ,

it's still do able , Kevin at DesignXKR has done them before including fitting the required loom if you don't have it already , give him a ring as I'm sure he will help you out ,
