Hands free

As a new boy to to both the car and the forum, can anyone please suggest the best way to go about installing a hands free and charging 'kit' in a 2002 convertible which does not seem to have had that factory fitted option: ideally for a Nokia: my Saab 95 Aero has an excellent 'cradle' and the phone is charged and works through the audio system but it doesn't seem kind to 'butcher' the XK8 that way?
I have a charging point (aux power) in the armrest box and a parrot CK3100.
With phones battery life greatly improved over say 6 or 7 yrs ago I hardly ever feel the need to charge the phone up in the car & remember it never helps battery life to keep your phone permenantly on charge. Since batteries are so small and cheap I usually just carry a fully charged spare.
Most of the time my phone in my pocket, door bin (or in my laptop bag in the boot when travelling on business).
And of course bluetooth wasn't widely available when your car rolled off the production line as it is now which means you don't have to have a combined charger and handsfree.
Just my tuppence worth.

PS: The install of my Parrot cost £60 and that included the wiring and the aux power. And mine does mute the radio/CD and is a 96 so possible in anyone's XK.
