XK150 bluetooth module

My XK had been showing garbage when looking at the address book for some time. Now it won't even pair. I'm sure it is the module that's knackered.
Looking for a replacement, the X-Type module looks the same. The current XK module is 6W83-10D893 whereas the X-Type is 7W93-10D893. Does anyone know if these are compatible? Is the X-Type version an updated module?

FWIW the Jaguar part numbers for the bluetooth modules for the XK and X-type are all different (all versions). Mike.

I read on another forum someone tried the X-Type unit and although the unit is a different size, the connectors were the same and it worked OK. Fortunately, it doesn't cost the earth to try it out with a second hand unit. I'll re-post if I get it to go or if it is a no-no.
