Does anyone have any recommendations for good unobtrusive dash cams possibly with a rear view as well?

I use a Nextbase camera which I bought shortly before Covid and the lockdowns, and initially, it worked well. Subsequently, it sat around for a long time doing nothing. What hadn't occurred to me was that dash cams with a parking facility & similar functions have their own small batteries which run down and deteriorate if left unconnected to the main car battery. No big deal I thought when I realised that the dash cam no longer worked, I'll just change the battery. Cutting to the chase, I did manage to change the battery, courtesy of eBay but it was a really fiddly task getting the camera apart and soldering in a new battery without damaging the camera. So, if you have hands that work better with spanners than soldering irons, don't necessarily be wowed by extra features that drain the batteries (or be prepared to switch the features off) before you make your choice, especially for intermittent use.
