Heated Windscreen

Postby GEOFFL » Mon Jan 14, 2013 7:22 pm

Hi, My XKR came with the Cold weather pack and I'm not sure what's included. There is a heated front screen switch which works in that it lights up when depressed. However there is no indication that the screen itself is heated, I cannot see any filaments running through the screen nor does it appear to have any effect. Any help please??

Hi Geoff ,
You should certainly be able to see the fine wire filaments that run vertically down the screen :?
I'm guessing that the screen has been replaced at some time with a standard version

Hope this helps

Cheers Nik, I was afraid that might be the case. All my cars have had heated screens and I do find them really useful so I think I may consider getting one fitted depending on the cost involved.(unless Kirklees Council are using exceedingly large grit in the near future  )

Just had a quote for a heated windscreen for the XKR - £400 fitted - which is probably less than I was expecting, just got to decide whether the cost out weighs the benefit!
