Re: cat
Hi Jaysto, I was just completing some housekeeping among the posts and spotted your post which I and everyone else appear to have missed at the time.
For what it's worth at this late stage, the message refers to the catalytic converter connected to B bank which is the left hand bank of four cylinders viewed from the driver's seat. Without a proper diagnostic analysis it's impossible to be definitive but a good starting point for such problems is examination of the lambda sensors fitted upstream and downstream of the catalytic converters. They are often the guilty parties. Did you get the car fixed? Mike.

Re: cat
I had the same issue with my XJ8.
A scan provided the fault code bank 2.
The passenger side upstream Lamda sensor was replaced, the fault indicators cleared
and the problem was solved.
Gendan supplied the replacement sensor......much cheaper than Jaguar prices !
