Hi all, I have a couple of problems that I hope someone can help me with. I have had a severe water leak on my 2001 xk8 4.0. I noticed a lot of water staining on the drivers side gearbox casing, so I assumed it was the famous galley water pipe leaking. After taking the inlet manifold off, I noticed it wasn’t the heater pipe but the metal pipe that it’s connected to had a rust hole in it which was the problem. My question is, does anyone know what part that is or even better a part number or where to purchase it from,I have looked on the internet but cannot find the part I need. Also is there a specific tool to disconnect the metal pipe from the spider pipe, I know people have used flat bladed screwdrivers to do the job, but I’m worried that the plastic lugs will break being made of plastic. One last question, the black pipe with a red stripe which I believe to be vacuum pipes that connect to the throttle body bracket, do they simply pull off, they seem really tight and I didn’t want to pull them to hard in case they broke. I apologise if these subjects have been covered in previous posts, but I couldn’t find them.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks,
Martyn.

If you post a pic showing the shape of the pipe you need, it may help to identify exactly which pipe you need. It may be part number AJ83928 but I can't be certain. Mike.

Thanks guys for your replies. You were right Mike, it is part no AJ83928, the only slight difference is mine doesn’t have the small outlet pipe, but I can’t seem to find the one without the outlet pipe. I can always block it off with a small rubber pipe. Does anybody know if the special tool for releasing the norma connector is available?
Thanks Martyn.
Thanks Martyn.

Late cars used a pipe without the stub, part number NCA3905BB. The Norma Industries website has a product list which includes tools for releasing its couplings. A check there might be useful. Mike.
