Coolant Type and Level

Hi
What coolant should be used in a 2003 4.2 XK8 (a part no. would be great) and what is the correct fill level in the expansion tank?

The coolant type for your 4.2ltr engine is the pink stuff, Jaguar part no: JLM 20972, the 1ltr bottle is about £6.50+VAT, available from all Jaguar main dealers. Total coolant system capacity is 9.5 ltrs.
NB: The coolant has to be diluted with water (I use de-ionised water) at a ratio of 50/50, which gives you 2 ltrs.

If you do a complete coolant change, you can also buy it in a 5 ltr container, which, diluted, gives you 10 ltr enough for a complete fill.

You should fill up to the bottom of the expansion tank neck.
