Aluminium thermostat housing.

Postby bobwnm » Sun Dec 14, 2008 9:33 pm

At the seminar Barratts stated that their alloy housing had not yet gone into production, even tho' David Marks had an example to show us.

www.britishparts.co.uk have an alloy version listed, does anyone have any experience of these?

Hi Bob ,
These have been sold in the US for some time now and I've heard reports that they are very good indeed compared to the rather poor quality Jaguar item  , certainly worth giving a try ,

Hope this helps ,

Ali thermostat tower.

Postby J44EAG » Sat Sep 12, 2009 3:43 pm

My ali tower for my S-type which is similar came from Dave Welsh Enterprizes in the States. Dave markets them for XK, XJ and V8 S-types.

Norman Motors or Berkshire Jag may also be able to supply.

Product is well made and fits first time. Much more reassuring than the plastic tower which I have seen split to due to heat, pressure and age.

My article in the S-type Forum October 2009 JEC magazine details fitment with text and pictures.
