Rear Suspension bushes

Postby carcrazylawyer54849 » Thu Nov 21, 2024 1:54 pm

My 2010 Jaguar XK 5.0 Portfolio needs new bushes on the rear control arms. Having done 61,000 not unreasonable. However it is proving difficult to get hold of just the bushes. Most suppliers seem to want to sell you the whole Control arm which contain the 3 bushes, which is a waste of money as they are perfectly good metal arms. Not very sustainable in this day and age either, lol. Also they are expensive at £699.90 each!

Has anyone any ideas as to where i might be able to obtain just the bushes as my garage has a press to fit them.

Thanks

Barry

Hi Barry, you can talk to Swallows Jaguar, who are a Club Technical Partner. They have a range of bushes to suit your car. They advertise in the magazine and are listed on here as well.

Thanks. Swallows came up trumps so new Poly bushes fitted, and track control bushes. The car now does not tramline when accelerating.

Now to get various sensors sorted !

Put those poly bushes ( blue) in the banana arm on the front suspension it will transform the steering on your car, it’s one of the best mods I have done on my car.

Understear is when you hit the wall with the front of the car, and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, torque is how far you take the wall with you.
