wishbone bushes

Last summer I had all the wishbone bushes changed (With full geometry check) on my 05 XKR, as it did not feel positive. Obviously the latest Jaguar bushes were fitted but I still was not happy. On the recommendation of Tom Lenthal of T L Jaguar I had polyeurothane bushes fitted to just the lower wishbones. I am running 20" Detroit wheels (which are 'twitchy' at the best of times) with adaptive suspension. This seems to have really made the steering more positive and less prone to 'wander' when passing over bumps and ruts. The adaptive suspension seems to cope with the increased stiffness and I can not detect any difference in the ride. Hope this is helpful.

I'm sure the commernt will be helpful to anyone contemplating lower wishbone bush changes. Fortunately, changing the bushes is easier as a DIY task than on older Jaguars so it's not such a major issue to try one sort of bush and then remove it if you don't like the result. Mike.
