uprated and lowered springs

Postby violins » Wed Nov 11, 2009 5:54 pm

I am considering fitting uprated and lowered springs to my 2004 XKR conv. which has the 20" wheels.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has fitted lowered springs and what the handling and ride are like afterwards :?:

I don't have any info on the sublect, other than to point you to the Jag-lovers site where TC is asking about re-shimming the rear camber set-up due inner tread tyre wear.
Might be worth following the thread to see what comments come forth fom JL's
wide readership.

Peter it's strange as I have a 96 100k mileage XK8 which everyone assumed had been lowered. No the springs were actually knackered

A year ago I had 2005 springs (which are stronger and apparently shorter than stock for my 96) fitted along with new shocks and a polybush set.

The result is that the car now rides about 40mm higher...but feels amazing in corners.
