the bulletin board has answered most of my question, (how do I improve my brakes without resorting to Brembo). Seems braided pipes with new discs where appropriate are the answer. I am also looking at the sorry state of the calipers which somebody had painted blue, and the paint is now wearing off. Can these be cleaned off and painted with something that lasts and looks good (like Brembos ). The brake fluid is coming up for a change so hope to improve the other bits then. (96 4.0L XK8 91K)
