Intermittent "heavy " steering

Occasionally the steering on my 2002 XKR feels heavy at low speeds - this often happens after a spell of higher speed driving but not always !

It dosen't last long time but is starting to happen more frequently.

Ther are no no fluid leaks and nothing obvious on a visual check - anybody got any ideas or similar experiences ?

You have what is called servotronic steering on your xk8 the most likely cause is a broken wire from the PAS control module located rh side of dash to the steering rack quickest way to cure is to replace both wires.
