ABS Sensor mini saga ...

ABS warning light came on, quickly followed by Cruise Control and DSC. Sometimes randomly Gear Box Fault and CATS fault.

Fault codes said Right Rear ABS failure. New part through main dealer I was told maybe £180 + VAT!

Ebay search said part number could be bought for £17 inc vat! So I bought and arranged for local Autoclassico garage to fit.

Got there at 8.45 am and by 9.00 am they confirmed it was the wrong part ... maybe the front wheel ...?

Said they would order from their supplier (Berkshire Jag parts?) and it would be about £40.

Left it there next morning as part not arrived but done by midday. Part was £70, Hours labour £70, plus vat about £160 total.

They said the one bolt put up a fight as it was steel into aluminium ..? Experts here might have a view but anyway since the whole thing came in at less than the main dealer part it seemed like a good deal.
