Tyres for 2001 XK8

My Vredestein tyres lasted well, 7 years and 25K miles. Advised that these are a middle brand.
Recommended premium brand is Dunlop Sport Maxx RT2 with B A 68dB labelling.
Front are 245/45 R18 100 Y and Rear are 255/45 R18 103 Y.
Cost of £158 and £188 each respectively.
Anyone have experience with these Dunlops?

Once you decide to fit one of the tyres that Jaguar specified originally, you can have reasonable confidence that noise, handling and longevity are going to be acceptable. Over the years, I have tried various tyres on XK models, including the Dunlop Sport Maxx, and I have to say I rate the Dunlops highly for grip/handling and perfectly acceptable for noise. Tyre life depends on use and driven in a non lunatic fashion, I would expect a life of 20k+ miles. Mike.
