Hi my first time on here so please be gentle. i have a 2001 xk8 and i tried to fit 20" BBS Paris wheels today but the rear wheels are rubbing on the inside,so can any body tell me the size of spacer needed. Is this a standard problem or just me? thanks steve.

The BBS wheels supplied by Jaguar were different widths and offsets front and rear. The wider wheels fitted at the rear. There were no spacers involved. Rear tyres should be 285/30x20. If the wheels and tyres are standard Jaguar items and a wheel or tyre is touching the body when the car is sitting level on all four, something on the car is wrong. Mike.

Thanks for reply. i have had the wheels re furbed with the centre rims removed and new chrome rings fitted. Are the centres different in dept from front and rear as i wounder if there have fitted them wrong on the wheel rims? The wheels are genuine Jaguar with 9x20 front and 10x20 rear. The tyres are also the correct size.Away at moment but when i return home tomorrow i will have a good look. thanks steve.

Yes, the offsets (the measurement from the wheel mounting face to the centre line of the wheel) are different so if the wheels have been completely disassembled, it would be possible to get them wrong. Mike.

Have now found problem. The wheel company had re fitted the front centres to the rear rims and vice versa. Not going to say what i said to them but was not happy. All ok now and wheels look good. Many thanks for your help and one to remember. Steve.
