X150 4.2 2007 ABS module reprogramming

Postby kenb_g_60319 » Fri Feb 14, 2025 2:56 pm

Having just replaced my ABS -module(the old defect read 10832bar internal pressure and car would not start along with other problems).. now fitted a new used totally similar ABS-module (totally same parts number even the ATE number is the exact same).. it is "blocked" like needed the VIN-codes etc..

I have Jaguar SSD version 165.. anyone who can lead me how to go on??

cheers

Ken,
The Jaguar XK workshop manual points to it being coded to the car - "Using WDS, configure a new HCU."

The module sits on the network and talks to a lot of other modules. In another area of the manual it also states
"CAUTION: The ABS module and the HCU comprise a single unit and must not be separated." I know not why but mention this just in case as separating the bit with the coded logic does not seem viable.

Anyway hopefully with a recode that will do the trick for you.

Let us know how you get on

Mark
