Dear all,
Which tyres would you recommend for my XKR100 2001 Convertible?
I’m going to change all 4 and have mixed advice on choice.

Tyre choice can be a very personal matter. Some people rate grip at the top of the their list of objectives. Others might rate quietness as supremely important. For others, it could be rate of wear. You can't go far wrong by following Jaguar and buying one of the originally supplied makes of tyres (Pirelli, Dunlop, Bridgestone). Any of them is a good all round compromise to make the car feel as Jaguar intended. Mike.

Hi Scott, simple advice is to go to the Kwik Fit website (you don't necessarily have to purchase from Kwik Fit, but they have a very simple to use website) and input your registration number. This will bring up an extensive list of tyres suitable for your car - ensure the information corresponds with the current tyres in terms of size and the speed rating is correct, just in case the car has been fitted with a different set of wheels since it was new.
Once you can see the list, it is down to personal choice regarding noise rating, price, make, etc. One thing to bear in mind, the 4 x patches of rubber is all that is between the tarmac and you, so it is one particular area that it does not make sense to skimp on!
