I have a 2006 XK convertible (new shape) and I need to replace the in tank fuel pump my mechanic placed an order with the local Shrewsbury Jaguar dealership and paid for it but they said the item was on back order that was 4 months ago i am still without my car has anybody had the same problem or got any suggestions regards Alan

Welcome to the forum. You might have more of a response if you post in the XK8 / X150 section of the forum. This section is for comments about the forum itself.

There are three different fuel pump assemblies listed for the 4.2 litre XK dependent upon VIN number. The oldest version (which could be for your 2006 car) is not listed as being stocked. Without talking directly with Jaguar, there's no way of knowing whether that's a temporary or a permanent situation. Your garage should be following this up for you. If the correct pump is no longer available, I would also suggest asking a local Jaguar specialist if one of the later pumps could be modified to fit without also having to change the fuel tank.
