It's not the red face but the hole in the wallet which would be the problem! :D In automotive electrics it always pays to check the wiring and associated components before assuming the lump at the end of the wire has failed. Just imagine what it will be like when cars are all electric. If you think we DIYers have problems now... Mike.

SHE LIVES!!!! :D

On my MY99XK we replaced the single pump tonight through the hole in the parcel shelf,and after 9 months not running started immediately. Very tight to access and to enable the pump to be located we cut a bit from the mounting hole so the bolt was located before sliding the pump onto it.

Regarding electrics and relays we had followed the electrics checking at each point until we got to the pump housing and it had power, so we knew it was a faulty pump. The pump and new filter were £67.24 + VAT from British Parts UK.

MOT next and a run to Bath so she will be ready for Classic Le Mans.
