XKR fuel tank Plastic or metal?

I have an XKR 2001 and want to get it ready for winter. Now in one of our motorsport magazines it says to keep the tank full if it is metal but it would not matter if it is plastic. Does anyone know?

Hi Benhard ,
It's metal keep it topped up to prevent corrosion but be aware , unleaded fuel goes off much quicker than leaded fuel so try to use the car regularly and just keep topping her up ,
