When lowering the soft top on my 98 XK8 it stops as it is lowering I think that the window in the soft top is just catching the rear seats. Applying a little hand pressure allows it to complete the process. No issues when putting the soft top up.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is there an easy fix?

If the hood mechanism is otherwise operating normally, this problem sounds like an issue with one or more of the hood frame pivots. I suggest that removal of trim/careful peeling back of the headlining to view the pivots will be required to check if a pivot is sticking or excessively worn. Mike.
