Trim on both doors

I need to fix or replace the trim along the top of my doors at the bottom of the windows...both sides have started to bubble on the metal piece ,and the rubber is split away from the metal...can I buy them or does anybody know where I can get them repaired....I'm in Liverpool ....cheers for any help

I have been looking at solution to the same issue, I believe the correct term is a waist rail. OEM parts are staggeringly expensive although have read elsewhere as they are made of aluminium are capable of being refurbed.
Be very interested to know of other members experience with this issue

This is a regular issue and has cropped up previously on the BB. As far as I'm aware, the window surrounds became 'no longer available' from Jaguar some time ago. I have even had main dealers ringing to ask if the Club knew of another source. Because of this shortage, they are even expensive from breakers.
If caught early enough, the trims can be refurbished in situ and that's probably the best way to solve the problem. XK8 trims are usually painted in Dorchester Grey and XKRs are black. Small quantities of paint (spray cans) can be made up by Halfords or many paint shops/factors. Mike.
