Wrong front bumper/nose

Hi, I am pretty sure my car has the wrong front bumper, its a 1999 XKR but it apears to have a facelift front with flush front fog lights. I could kick myself for not spotting it when I bought it, as the bumper has been re-sprayed and the salesman said it was done to tidy up the stone chips, but if it's a later front I wonder if something more serious was the reason for the change?
In any case the car does not seem to have any damage to the rest of the front.
If it is wrong, I would be interested in finding a correct replacement, can anyone help? Thanks.

I would not worry too much, if you can't see anything wrong with it. I know quite a few people, myself included, who have upgraded the bumper covers (both front and rear) to the 2001 or later for a more up-to-date look.

I [ersonally have updated the exterior of my MY2000 XK8 with a new front bumper/flared-in fog lights, new rear bumper which is a bit lower, updated rear lights with chrome trim and new chrome boot plinth with integrated boot release button.
I prefered that look and convenience of the boot botton and made the conversion without there being anything wrong with the original fitments.
