Does anyone have instructions on how to remove the rear bumper from a 2001 XKR. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi
Its really easy.
Two big bolts removed from each side at the rear - removed from below. These are the bolts that pass through the bushes that are well known for corrosion.
Also, you need to remove fixings in rear wheel arch on the liners. From memory, there is a plastic nut.
Its best to put something on the ground behind the bumper so you can lay it down without marking the pain...oh, and get someone to help you - one pair of hands each side as you pull it off drawing backwards.
If you have park assist, you will have to disconnect the sensors, and likewise, if your corder amber (or red) lights illuminate, disconnect them too.
Easy job....

Hi Steve,
If you send me a pm (Personal Message) from this forum with your email address, I will email you a pdf document with an exploded parts diagram and some instructions I have added for removal and other hints.
I am sorry I can't attach a document to this message from the forum, that is why I can only do it to your email address.
I am sure you'll find it useful - its really quite simple.
Regards,
Karl
PS: Edited a few minutes after sending my message: when I first opened this thread, I was only able to see your first posting and only after I replied, did Best Gear's answer and your reply appear.
Never-the-less, my diagram will probably still come in useful.
