Sun Visor obscured by Mirror flap

With the recent low sun, I've used my sun visors for the first time (only had the car a few weeks!). Problem is that the plastic flap covering the mirror "swings down" when the visor is open. It seems the rubber (plastic?) bush on the edge of the mirror frame has either worn or fallen out. Can these be replaced, or do I have to resort to a botch like scotch tape?

This is not an uncommon problem and is one that I have successfully corrected at no cost. If you carefully lever out the mirror housing you will (probably) find that the small open 'U' clips that are an interference fit into plastic have become dislodged, take care as you remove the mirror housing as these can fall down and get lost in the car upholstery.
These clips act as a tensioner to the mirror hinge and hold the cover closed by pressing on a flat on the plastic spindle that the cover rotates on, when they are dislodged they don't tension and the flap opens. You will need to Super glue them back into position as once they have worked out they will no longer remain in position by themselves.
